Leave No One Behind: partnering for impact

Davos 2019:

Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution

None of the Sustainable Development Goals are considered met unless met for all: we must Leave no one behind.

We can only achieve this if we work together to reach the most impoverished, excluded, disadvantaged people and those at risk of violence and discrimination and ensure they can make their voices heard if we are to achieve a better world for all: we need Partnerships for impact.

Sixteen UN and international organisations working in humanitarian relief and sustainable development are relaunching the Sustainable Impact Hub in Davos during the World Economic Forum 2019 Annual Meeting.

The Sustainable Impact Hub is a dedicated partnership venue where World Economic Forum participants and the general public are invited to drop in to discuss, learn about and advance partnerships with organizations working together under the theme Leave no one behind: Partnering for impact. Visitors can also explore interactive exhibitions and virtual reality experiences, informative videos, and live broadcast discussions on the most pressing issues for collaboration.

The World Economic Forum 2019 Annual Meeting theme: Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution is an opportunity to incorporate cross sector partnerships as a fundamental part of the new “Global Architecture”. The need is greater than ever to work together to address persisting inequalities and make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable people most at risk from development deficits, natural disasters and conflict.

The collaborating organisations in the Sustainable Impact Hub initiative are: ELRHA, the Global Alliance for Humanitarian Innovation, IFRC, IOM, OCHA, ODI, the Connecting Business initiative, UNDP, UN Foundation, UNFPA, UN Global Compact, UNHCR, UNICEF, UN SDG Lab, WFP, and WHO.

The Sustainable Impact Hub initiative is made possible with generous support from: CvB Davos, Devex, European Broadcasting Union, Eurovision Services, GluoNNet, GSM Association, Mastercard, Philanthropy Advisors, Salesforce, the UN Secretary-General’s Humanitarian Envoy, Western Union and the World Economic Forum.
